Yeti's Campaign Supporters Hit the Trail
Hey, Stuffie Fans! Before I turn it over to Scottie and Team, I just wanted to say, “THANK YOU!” to all my supporters out there. The notes have been rolling in…. the bank notes have been a little more sparse than I’d wish. It’s never to late to send your cold, hard cash my way. Just saying….
Stuffie Friends!
It’s a beautiful day here in MN, so we’re hitting the campaign trail. We’re going door-to-door and tree-to-tree in hopes of getting YETI elected as the first Ruler of the Universe! Thankfully, our home base is a very good starting point.
Our first order of business was to collect all the flyers that were airdropped in Dan’s front yard.
We’ve been reading lots about buried treasure. So, clearly our next task was to dig for treasure in the leaves. (Campaigning can get pretty costly.) Sadly, we didn’t find anything, but Dan chipped in a few $$ so we could at least pay for our own travel expenses.
We decided to think about our specific routes, so we hopped up onto a nearby pine tree. Sometimes it’s easier to make decisions when you take the long view. In this case, we quickly sorted out who would go where. Flicker, Amelia, and Wol L’Owl are taking the distant locations since they can fly. The rest of us are going to hit the neighborhood.
Next, we needed to get our bearings to be sure we cover a lot of ground. Thank goodness we have this incredible directional post right near the lake!
The last step before heading out on our assignments was to get a little coaching on the issues. We wanted to prepare for whatever questions we might get as we knocked on doors. Everyone in our team was very attentive. And, of course, we made sure to stock up on flyers before we headed out.
WIth a spectacular plan in place, we are off to the races! Ranger Rita is focusing on cabins, lakes, and woods nearby. Shen knows all the back roads in the area and has met many people during her DNR assignments around here. They’ve been pretty happy to talk with her and hear more about Yeti and her plans. An exciting start!
Scottie worked the neighborhood with Flambee and Ober. They’re excited to get more confident moving around the nearby streets and roads. Talking to the neighbors is a breeze- they’ve met Scottie and know he could be trusted. And these two friends can make friends with a lamppost. We definitely think Yeti’s gaining more fans out here…
Elections are coming up really soon, so we need to head out one more time before dark. We hope to report back before Election Day!
