Froggy Invents Some New Xtreme Sports

Hey, Stuffie Fans! It’s me, Froggy! Isn’t this picture of me charming? I can be pretty photogenic, but this is ridiculously cute. (In my humble opinion.) Anyway, I was on Whidbey Island recently and checked out Deception Pass State Park. They advertised lots of cool adventures and outdoor experiences. And the views aren’t bad, either…

As you may remember, I love some good cliffhangers and extreme sports. And my favorite hobby is still tree climbing but bridge jumping is even better. So I started off the day with a quick swim.

Ahhh… very refreshing! Thanks for waiting on me. I’ve recently discovered that there are lots of amazing outdoor options for us thrill-seekers. For starters, there’s Bouldering (scrambling over rocks on your way up a hill)….

And Free Climbing (that’s where you scale immense cliff faces with no harnesses or safety gear)….

or Caving (exploring deep, dark caverns underground)….

And how great is Spelunking (caving, but with swimming and wading through water thrown in) and Polar Plunges (jumping into super-cold water)…?

So far, so fun! However, then I found this unusual staircase.

It was when I was looking down a staircase made out of a single tree that I thought to myself, “Am I traveling down only roads others have traveled? Can I come up with fun that’s all my own idea?” Then I answered myself, “I sure can!”

Off I went to invent my own Xtreme Sports, like Tiny Branch Balancing (finding the smallest branch that can hold your weight before it breaks and you fall down)…

(Turns out, smaller than that branch= too small.) Or how about this sport- Tree Sliding (jump or get thrown as high up a tree as you can; then hold on as you slide down, elevator-style)…

And, if you thought that was fun, how about Advanced Tree Sliding (no climbing involved, just sliding down a tree trunk into a body of water- the deeper & colder, the better)….

Oops. Hang on- what’s that?

A classic sport- Bridge Jumping (see bridge, must jump off it and into the water)…

See you later! I’ve gotta go!
