Stuffies Find Too Many Treasures

Stuffy2.JPG

Deckers and friends with many greetings and salutations on this bee-yoo-tee-ful camp day! We’ve been very busy out and about camp. So wonderful to have all the staff and campers back playing and learning and discovering! It’s been a breath of fresh air, for sure. (No, really, we were cooped up in boxes in a building for a really long time. Maybe you can relate? Maybe not?)

The first thing that happened was we noticed the door to our old home open. So nice to be greeted by smiles everywhere you go in camp, wouldn’t you agree? Best life ever! Here’s Roxie swinging back and forth (and back and forth) on the door. That’s a fun ride you simply must check out. Just find a door that will hold your weight and a willing friend (or 20) and have them give it a good old push. WHEEE! We don’t weigh enough to break the door, and we don’t have any bones to break. That means it’s all fun and no risk.

While swinging us to & fro, Jennie happened to catch sight of all the goodies piled up on shelves. That’s when we decided to head in and see what’s on sale this summer. Oh, man, the wonders this building can hold! She immediately found the perfect ball for Stuffie Ga-Ga Ball. And this fantastic, wonderful sticker. We know some visiting Stuffies who could use a reminder of the Core Values. We’ll make sure they get one of these right away.

Sunglasses, water bottles, tiny backpacks just our size, super-soft rainbow colored pillow friends, caps, little lip balms, t-shirts, sweatshirts- sure, they’re not our size but we might grow into them! How on earth is a Stuffie to decide which items should go home with them? Tough decisions. …

Bad news, everyone. Turns out you need an account to get things from this building. And a grownup to sign you up for one. What do you think the chances are that Chris or one of the staff here will make it happen? Keeping our paws crossed in Deckers. We’ll let you know.

In the meantime, Stuffie sized clothing and toy donations can be sent to us at YMCA Camp Shady Brook….
