Fun... No Matter the Weather!

Hey, Friends & Fans! It’s me, Taco the Dragon!!! I’m so excited about my fancy new scarf! My friend Ciara made it for me & it’s really cozy. It showed up just in time, too. The weather’s been a little cold here. Though not “the high today is negative 12 below zero” or “it’s 30 below zero with windchill” cold. Sorry, Scottie & friends- stay warm!

We thought we’d bring you some entertainment ideas for when it’s too cold or rainy or blustery to go outside. Hope you enjoy!

First, Froggy and I played a game of chess. It wore me out! There is some serious strategy to that game. Also, did you know you can have infinite queens from exchanging pawns? I don’t know if that’s a real rule or a Froggy thing. Maybe you can tell me, so I can convince him to have a rematch? Either way, it was time to re-energize.

Mmm. Guess I know why Sneaks loves coffee so much. There’s nothing like a hot cuppa Joe while hanging out by a fire. (Also, who is “Joe” and why is he synonymous with coffee? Inquiring minds would like to know.)

Froggy was a little nervous about how close I was getting to the fire. I reassured him that as a Dragon, there’s no such thing as “too close to the fire”.

Froggy needed to calm his nerves and relax after that, so we worked on a jigsaw puzzle. How cute is this goldfish, anyway?

If you’re feeling really ambitious, you could create your own indoor Treasure Hunt. We had a wonderful time following clues to this box of wonders. Yo-yo’s and ribbons and jump ropes, oh my!

Those were such fun to play with, let me tell you. Next, it was back to the board games. We learned how to play Backgammon…

And Mancala….

By then I’d had enough of board games. They were beginning to be bored games, if you know what I mean. I talked Froggy into heading outside, where I’d spied a fire pit.

Now, that’s what I’m talking about!
