Fun Abounds in Woodburn
Hey, everybody! It’s me, Yeti! I know, I know- you’ve been missing me terribly and waiting to hear from me. Sorry about that. And, also, not sorry, I’ve been doing some electrical and structural engineering classes in preparation for….. nothing in particular. Just growing my brain. It didn’t help me win Jenga with S’mores and Johnny Whoop. Sad.
We did get lucky with a custom made set of recreational equipment. (Shout out to Denny’s wood shop!) Here’s us playing shuffleboard.
It took all of us working together to score, but we did an incredible job and beat Katie by a mile.
Next we headed to the Pickleball court. It was a pretty even match between S’mores and I. Serving over the net was the hardest part. That thing is high!
Johnny Whoop was our referee. He may or may not have understood the rules of the game. He definitely needs more practice counting. (Scoring is not his forte.) You know what’s really good practice for that kind of math? Counting all the cold, hard, cash that’s in a drawer. Let’s say a cash register or a bank teller’s station….
S’mores wanted to play b-ball next. We did some 1 on 1. That only seemed fair because Johnny Whoop could barely see over the ball. I was really incredible at defending…
Too bad S’mores has a wicked jump shot…
Yes, if you’re wondering, that ball went into the basket. First try. Guess I’d better up my game before the next match-up.
You know what I can always catch?
We got a few caterpillars, a beetle, and a group of ants. No butterflies today, though there were lots of them flying all around the garden and the lakes. Speaking of the Lakes Miesle, we had to take our hand-built balsa wood raft out for a spin.
While we were poling along, we spied a lot of GINORMOUS fishes in the water. Dinner, here we come!
Did you see that splash? I told you there were big fish in the lake. Check out this video to see what happens when Stuffies put their mind to something.
Um. We’ll spare you the embarassment of seeing our dripping wet fur when we fell in the lake trying to net our fish. Here’s the good news- we got to practice our gymnastics routine!
Catch you on the flip side!
