Froggy Goes All In

Hey, all you Stuffie Fans! It’s me, Froggy! (I know the picture above is a lot of friends, so you might be confused. I’m the green frog in the red Colorado shirt. Yeah, the cute guy on the left.) So great to be seeing you again! This is the last of the vacation posts about our trip up north. You might remember that we went to see some gardens…

And we went on lots of hikes…

And saw some really ginormous trees…

And those were cool and all… but not really my thing. Kind of like how you might feel about lima beans. They’re okay, but they’re not delicious, hot, cheesy grasshopper pizza. Exactly!

My vacation finally became awesome when we went to the Ucluelet Aquarium.

That place is INCREDIBLE!!! If you ever find yourself on Vancouver Island, I cannot recommend it enough. It’s a catch-and-release aquarium where they do collections each spring and then return all the friends back to their homes in the autumn. Basically, they get to go on vacation for a year and hide out from the sharks and other creatures that want to eat them. How cool is that? Look how happy these fish are!

After leaving the island, we got to go see the Elwah River, which has been running free of its former dams for the past 10 years. It’s incredible to see how many plants and animals and fungi have returned to the stream now that it’s flowing wild again.

I’m here to tell you- good things come to frogs who wait. We finally hit the waterfall section of the trip. Whoohoo!!!

For every waterfall, there was a swimming expedition.

Now, that’s what I’m talking about! Waterfall vacations are the best! Hope you’re enjoying your summer and getting nice and cool and wet in your local watering hole. I’m going to go jump in one more. Talk to you later!
