Froggy and Taco Make Snow ART
Hello, it’s us- Froggy and Taco! We were super-dooper lucky to wake up to this great snowfall last week on the Oregon Coast…
Usually, when there’s snow around here, there isn’t much of it and it’s more like hail/snow- little icy balls that are sort-of-white. This was about 6-7” of the best powder for building things. And I just went to that amazing snow sculpture place and learned all about them! So I showed Taco how you smoosh the snow together. Then it turns into a shape.
We talked about what we should create. Taco said he had a great idea, but it was going to be a surprise. Actually, he said that he was the “Artistic Director” of this process and in order to execute his vision, he needed silence to contemplate and concentrate. I’m pretty flexible and was willing to be quiet. Although, did laugh to myself imagining our friend Fajita helping Taco with this… hee, hee.
I was in charge of the grunt work and the heavy lifting. Taco was in charge of the sculpting.
Ahem. i need to clarify. The snow was heavy to lift, not the friend named Taco. Taco is light as a breeze in the summertime. Even with his wings and flame costume on. It was no trouble. Snow, on the other hand, is pretty heavy. I’m not sure how humans manage to shovel it. I was breaking a sweat every time Taco needed another block for his creation.
I have to say, I really have NO idea what we’re making here. Maybe it’s a misshapen ice cream cone? A skyscraper? A chicken in a snowstorm?
Whatever it is, Taco said it’s perfect and looks exactly as it should. He’s very happy and proud of our result. Hooray for Taco!
(In case you can’t tell, it’s clearly a sculpture of me. You can see 2 wings sticking out on the sides, a taco head, and then my flame hat on top.) It looks almost as much like me as this pear does.
See, art is in the eye of the beholder! TTFN (as Tigger would say, “Ta ta for now!”)
