Free Coffee? Are You Kidding Me??!

Yeti, Taco, and Friends!

Greetings from your friend Sneaks! My friends Scotty and Amelia AIrheart were visiting recently. They were headed to Nashville on a work trip with Dan (their landlord). Amelia wasn’t even flying them this time- they were traveling first class in his carry-on baggage. Perfect! There was definitely room for this small fox. I was curious to see more of the world… and it’s coffee!

We had to be very quiet and well behaved on the flight. Did you know they serve free coffee on airlines? I can’t believe I’ve lived my whole life on this planet and never knew that. I had two cups and they were both pretty good. Hot and full of caffeine- just how I like them!

This was supposedly a work meeting for AYUSA (so people could find out more about placing international students at high schools in the USA). It seemed much more like a big party to us. In fairness, we only attended part of one meeting before we were asked to leave for being too rowdy. That’s okay- it was a great excuse to check out the conference center.

Oho- what is this?

Yes, please! I sure will help myself to some free coffee. Traveling is awesome!

At this point, Amelia and Scotty wanted to find some food. They were feeling pretty hungry. We found some fancy deviled eggs, which they said were delicious. I was disappointed there was no coffee to be found. Apparently there are things called “bar and restaurants” where you can get soda, water, beer, and other drinks. No coffee for poor Sneaks…

We did meet a couple of people from France at the restaurant. They were part of the AYUSA group and recognized us. They seemed to have a super time and enjoyed our company.

And they were headed back to the meeting place and were happy to give us a lift. Perfect! Less time to wait for the next round of the elixer of life.

Man, this meeting situation is the best. I even decided to try this other thing called “tea”.

Gross. What is this stuff?

One night we got to find out more about the Nashville “music scene”. We went to a “Honky-Tonk” where different singers performed. It was pretty loud, but we got into the swing of things and listened to several “sets” by different performers. I even got to perform onstage and Scotty learned how to line dance.

Best part of the venue- They had beignes (a kind of donut with sugar) for my friends and COFFEE for me… It was W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L !

Let me know if you’re ever headed to Nashville. Or to a conference. Or on a plane. Or to a coffee shop. Really, anywhere they serve that delicious, amazing wonderful drink. I’d be most happy to keep you company so you don’t have to go alone.
