A Field Trip for Sneaks

Hey! You guys! Did YOU know about this all along? There are these incredible places called “coffee shops” in lots of cities all over the globe!!! I know, amazing, right?

If you already knew about them and you chose not to share that news with this lovable, coffee-loving fox … well, I just don’t know what to say to you. I’d have to consult the Polite People’s Club before speaking.

Thank goodness there are SOME friends out there that are willing to go out of their way to do something special for a fox. Yeti & S’mores took me on this little field trip out of the goodness of their hearts. Now, that’s what I call friendship!

This particular coffee shop, Abogados Cafe in St. Paul, had some pretty cool murals on the wall. Apparently, the owners are from Honduras and wanted to make the coffee shop look like home. I sure felt comfortable there. Do you think they’d like a resident fox keeping an eye on the place for them? I’d do a really good job. And I’d be willing to work for coffee…

The most difficult thing about the whole coffee shop experience was making decisions. What type of roast? How much coffee? To get delicious baked goods or not? “To go” or to enjoy in the cafe? It was a little stressful for this fox. Good thing I was with some decisive friends, even if one of them was a little impatient with me. And the barista was very friendly and helpful. It helped make a hard decision a lot easier.

The lattes came with these fancy designs on top. I was worried they were poison because of their bright color. Turns out the color is made with purple cabbage. That means the coffee is good for you. Serving of vegetable? Check! And bonus- the coffees were terrific and delicious!

We learned why the sign also said “El Mercadito” (that’s like a little market). They had some snacks and some dishes and some other fun things. But, more importantly, they also sold bags of the good stuff. Now we’re talking!

We definitely needed to get some supplies for the road. Good thing my furry friends have plenty of cash at their disposal. Ten pounds should do it, don’t you think?

And now that we’re caffeinated, we can really get going on some projects. What are we about to do? Don’t you worry about it. As this coffee shop in Lincoln City says,

We’ll keep you posted.

Thanks for the permission for the field trip, Zander!
