Forever Christmas

Hey, Stuffie Friends!

Hola! Ferdinand the Bull here wishing you a “Feliz Navidad”! Estoy muy feliz de Minnesota con estar en todo mi Stuffie amigos! It’s my first Christmas en los Estados Unidos and it’s been very fun. As you can see, we are all still enjoying the forever Christmas tree in the living room. I’ve heard good things about these landlords. Sometimes the Christmas decorations are up until March! Christmas Forever! I especially hope that happens this year, because I found out about all these amazing foods during the holidays.

We ate as much as we could until we were stuffed. Then we took some drinks and snacks outside. We made a party igloo out of a big pile of snow. Then piled in to eat some more snacks. Next time, we’ll have to bring hot chocolate and some music. Then it will really be a fiesta!

While we were in the igloo, my new friends started talking about what fun things can happen outdoors in the winter here. Sledding sure sounded amazing, so we headed to the nearest hill. We were extra lucky that Ranger Rita just likes to push the sleds. We went SO fast! Wow! I am sold on this “winter in Minnesota” thing!

I was pretty cold by then- winters are much warmer in Sevilla! As we went around to the main door, we discovered a really nice wreath. I was very confused. I know for a fact that it is 2022 but the sign said 2008! A big debate began to decide what was going on. Then, Ranger Rita broke in and said that 2008 is the house number! She’s had to use it on some recent job applications, so she should know. Flicker didn’t believer her until they flew out to the entry drive and saw the same number.

Once inside, we all gathered around the fireplace and began telling stories about how the holidays were spent when we were young. I’ve only had a few Christmases, so I didn’t have much to say. Wol the Owl is pretty old. He talked for a long time and I’m not sure all his stories could be believed. In the middle of one of his tales, he let out a screech. Scottie ran away from the noise and then spotted one of his cousins outside. We all ran or flew to the window to check out the wildlife.

I found out I do not like looking outside for hours like my friends do. I got bored really fast and started wandering the house. I found a special surprise that must be for Scottie!

I said it reminded me of Yeti’s post recently and I wondered where our presents were. Scottie said our hosts decided to “honor” his being the oldest of the Stuffies and personally responsible for getting us all here! That didn’t sound right to us. Wol the Owl, being the wisest of all Stuffies, did some investigation. He found out that it was actually a gift to Stella (the dog) from her cousin Mayo. It represents their shared love of chipmunks and squirrels!

What Scottie doesn’t know won’t hurt him. And now we don’t have to be jealous about why he gets extra gifts. Besides, maybe tomorrow’s Christmas will bring us some presents. And hot chocolate. Mmmm…

-Hasta luego!
