Double Spring Break for Stuffies
Yeti, Taco, and other Stuffie Friends!
Well, after a great spring break in Ohio and Indiana, we got a bonus Spring Break “taking care” of Stella for the Cummins. It was a pretty low-key week, but at least we escaped another snow storm in Grand Rapids. We were hoped for warmer weather 200 miles south, but they had gotten 10” of snow in the Cities. It was a tough job taking care of Stella. We had to go on many many walks, play in the yard in the snow, bark at the squirrels (Hey!) and keep her company during her multiple naps.
Scottie discovered this fancy new light in one of the bedrooms. It started out open and looked like a fun thing to crawl around. Unfortunately, while I was doing that, it sprang shut and trapped me in place. The rest of us used the opportunity to run downstairs and get some snacks. We got to eat anything we wanted without worrying about Scottie sneaking food from our plates. Don’t worry- after we were done eating, we went back up and rescued him!
We had to go next door to share our other Spring Break stories with Tom. He was a good listener, as always. And he convinced us that maybe we should bring Scottie some snacks to make up for abandoning him in favor of food.
While we were in that bedroom, we thought it was important to introduce Ferdinand to Mr. Moose (#2). He’s not sure why there are all these mooses in MN. Meeces? Moosi? We’re not sure, but those guys are everywhere you turn around here. This one is fun to hang out with.
Then we went in back to swing on the hammock chair. To our surprise, it was occupied! We climbed up and tried to get him to play with us, but no luck. Boy, that kid really likes to read!
We’d had enough of the Cities and wanted to go back up north. So, we hitched a ride to Twig. And, were we glad we did! Outside the house there were all these ice shelves. This one was super high off the ground. Apparently they slid off the roof when the weather warmed up just enough. Boy, would that have been a fun ride! We’re sorry we missed it.
We jumped, climbed, and flew down to perch among the ice sheets. What do you think of our castle? We’re pretty happy to hang out here for awhile. Hopefully there’s a hot chocolate delivery service in the neighborhood.
If you are interested in hosting us for Spring Break #3, we are now available. Just let us know!
