Amelia and Scottie to the Rescue
Hey, Stuffie Friends!
We were getting bored so we snuck downstairs to figure out what’s been causing all the noise lately. Well, it was worth the trip! We found this great new box with some strange wording on it. Scottie is pretty sure he recognized it as Norwegian (he visited Norway a few years ago). We’ll need to find the translation to tell you what it says. We’re hoping it says “a special box just for Stuffies.”
A trip downstairs always involves a stop in our favorite room. You may remember the playroom- it has the bunk bed and the castle and the pirate ships and games. We were looking at the shelf with the games and noticed a label on one of the drawers that says “stuffed animals.” Scottie is good at opening things, so he was in charge of opening the drawer. And what did we find?
Inside there were a whole bunch of Stuffies who must have been waiting for us to rescue them! To be honest with you, we were pretty upset to find new friends shut in a drawer. Who are these humans, anyway? Did they put these cute friends in here and forget all about them? Did our friends choose to go in there to hibernate for the winter? They could have at least been sleeping in a cozy bed with blankets & pillows and fresh air. Life will be much better for them now!
We learned the names of our new Stuffie friends: Dragoon - we think she's related to Taco given her wings, Snitch and Twitch - they are always hanging together, Elmo - he needs no introduction, and Smousey - she's always wanting to smooch everyone.
After tucking them into a new & improved bed (upstairs on a cozy chair), we got a snack and then got some sleep. In the morning, we found out that lots of snow had piled up yesterday and last night. There was work to do this morning to clear the driveway. We talked Elmo into helping us with the snowblower (we are too small to control it). Elmo should go into the snow removal business .. he was awesome! We were very successful thanks to our teamwork.
After the plowing, we thought we’d earned a break. We decided to take our new friends up a nearby pine tree. We’re very experienced climbers....they were impressed to say the least. Some of them struggled to get up in the tree and some of them were a bit out of control hanging from the branches.
After the work we decided to dig out a little snow cave and party. It sure was cool!
Elmo is a "tree hugger" as it took 5 minutes to have him come down.
We should have more fun times this weekend as we've learned we have a road trip to the Twin Cities and Rochester. We’ll tell you all about it next week!
