We Finally Found Them- the Signs of Spring!

Apologies, Stuffie Friends! We were horrified to see the recent posts from our friends in MN. Seems like they had a fantastic time playing in the snow, but it’s April already! Why, oh, why is this still happening? Oh, Katie just said that it often snows late in Minnesota. One year some friends were kicking back on the icy lake on a giant snow couch in early May. Thank goodness we live on the Oregon Coast where it’s more temperate. Well, we know there’s lots to love everywhere you live.

UMMMMM…. OOPS. We think this whole it-keeps-snowing-thing might be our fault. We were looking for Signs of Spring and weren’t paying attention to SIgns that mean Winter might never end. This sign has been up since November. And, although we meant it at the time, it’s really not fair to all of our friends elsewhere to keep it up. So, don’t worry- it’s been hidden away with the holiday decorations and warm coats. Hopefully this solves the problem!

Well, that didn’t exactly work out the way we expected. It may have been opposite day?! The sign went away and the next day it SNOWED inside the house?! How does that even work? We were happy to try out some sledding, but the snow was definitely not high quality like the outside stuff. Must be the fresh air that makes those perfect flakes. Anyway, on the plus side, these indoor slopes had a something to help us feel optimistic about the future.

We’re pretty sure it’s working now. Two days after we took down the “sign that must not be named” we found this leafy green gem. Again, a little weird that a tree is growing inside the house but we’ve gotten used to all kinds of surprises around here.

And then, the day after that, we found this little sign hidden amongst the flowers. It’s official- Spring must have arrived! Hope it’s coming soon to a neighborhood near you. Keep us posted!
