Some Light Shopping
Hey, Stuffie Fans! It’s us, Taco & Fajita. We feel very privileged to have visited the home of another train lover. So many trains from which to choose! We had a wonderful time riding the rails, but we’d like to share with you more about this fascinating town. Everyone told us we needed to check out the “Deuce”- a local bar and lounge. They make a pretty mean lemonade, but the highlight was really the live band. Jazz and ska mixed together at 10 am on a weekday? Who came up with that combo? We don’t know, but it definitely works.
Across from the Deuce was a used car lot. We’re not sure what it says that they sell “quality used cars” from a service/tire station.
And around the corner from a salvage yard. Seems like a risky proposition. If they’re patching up cars and then making a profit, who’s to say the car you buy actually runs? Wait, this type of scheme has Yeti written all over it. We’ll have to give her a call and see if she knows anything. Or will admit it if she does.
Speaking of making money, we were interested to see that they’re selling the theater in town. Looks like it’s seen better days. We could probably fix it up, but we’re pretty busy working as train engineers and inspectors. If you’re interested in becoming a patron of the Arts or expanding your business portfolio, let us know. We can connect you to the real estate agents.
All that talk of buying cars and buildings reminded us that we needed to pick up a few things while we were in town.
Whew. That was a lot of shopping. We realized it had been a long time since we had our drinks and snacks at the lounge. We headed to the grocery store to pick up some dinner for our trip home.
Hmmm…. This food is pretty teeny tiny.
We need to go in search of other food that’s more “us” sized. We’ll catch up with you later!
