Some Friends DO Get S'mores

We were just hanging around by a friends’ porch a few days ago when we spied a fire pit. AHA! We know all about these from recent posts in MN and CO. And we know exactly what to do. Step 1- get the Mallows, Step 2- light a fire (no problem!) Step 3- roast the Mallows.

Okay, so there’s a little problem. Tara said we could have the supplies but we needed to do a little job first. (Apparently, they’re all about learning “responsibility” and making “contributions” at their house. Blech. Well, if that’s what we need to do, we’ll do it. Or some of the friends will do it…)

Yep, so we conned our friends into doing the work for us. Again. What can we say? Cleverness and shortcuts get you there faster. And, hey, they loved it! We all helped out with some part of this process.

Anyhow, next we got to use this super cool tool. Did you know there were mallow-twirling sticks? We didn’t! Snitch sure had a great time riding around and around and around and around….

It was a little hard to tell if anything was happening to the mallow. So we sent Twitch out to check.

Calm down, already! Turns out there was nothing to worry about because it was still cold and hard. Oh, oops. We know what we forgot. Taco- time to use your talents! (See, told you everyone was going to help.)

Almost there, but not quite. Taco- one more time?

Almost there, but not quite. Taco- one more time?

And… perfect! Just the way we like ‘em. Now we get to eat all this delicious gooey mallow loveliness.

Don’t tell anyone, but while they were busy sharing one lone toasty mallow, we helped ourselves to the rest of the bag. Hee, hee! No one will ever know. And what a day for treats it was!

BREAKING NEWS STORY FROM MINNESOTA>>>>

Yeti, Taco and Friends-

We got a special invite to go to Ainsley’s 13th birthday party. We discovered why the number 13 is considered unlucky .... at least for us! As you can see. we closely inspected the cake and decided how to break it into 4 pieces. Ainsley was pretty upset & said that wasn’t fair since it wasn’t OUR birthday we were celebrating. After a standoff, we agreed think we would be served some after the cake was cut. But then there wasn’t any left for us. Come on, people! We deserve some cake, too. Better luck next time.
