Small Friends- Giant Chair

Hey, Stuffie Friends! Can you believe the size of this chair? If all the stuffie friends flew in on Amelia Airheart’s airline and landed on this chair, there would still be lots of room. We could probably even fit in a bunch of people as well. That Paul Bunyan guy must be pretty big. Wonder where we could find his house? It must be HUGE! He’s not the only famous person from around here, either. Apparently Dorothy didn’t live in Kansas, she was from MN. Maybe she moved there to be with her Aunt Em? I could understand that. Farms are pretty fun.

Dorothy was kind enough to point the way to her other friends nearby. Must be nice, just hanging out on a rainbow all day long. I wonder if it’s sunny or rainy in the middle of a rainbow? Too bad these folks weren’t talking. Maybe I’ll never know…

Scottie reminded me that I actually came to town for a reason. I’m really enjoying spending time with my new friends at the lake, but it’s time to start investigating possible new jobs around the area. The local DNR seemed like a good place to start.

After I stopped in and filled out an application, we decided to check on the fire danger before inviting Taco for a visit. Looks like you’re good to come out, dragon friend! Thanks, Smokey the Bear. We hope to see you soon!

One of the longest rivers in the country wanders right through Grand Rapids. Water is always a fascinating thing to watch. Especially when you’re from the desert like I am. We just don’t see scenery like this every day. Look at that “mighty Mississippi” rush right on by!

It wasn’t good enough to look at the water from far away. Loonie wanted to go check it out and do some fishing, so down the bank we went. Aah, what a glorious day. I can’t wait to start showing tourists around here. I’ll probably need to learn more about the landscape first. Or maybe I can just say “Look at these beautiful green trees.” And if anyone asks for more information about their species or adaptations, I’ll change the subject to how nice the weather is or we’ll find pictures in the clouds. Yes, that could work. Wish me luck at my interview- hope they call me soon!
