Scottie and Friends Take a Tour of the Oregon Coast
Here we are with our new friend, Quinn. He was kind enough to take us on a bike ride- so fun to feel the wind in my fur again! Of course, my bird friends thought we were traveling very slowly, but there’s only so fast a squirrel can fly on his own 4 paws. While traveling down the driveway, we caught sight of the gymnastics venue from the 2020 Games and had to go check it out!
Wow- was that a fun time! A special shout out to our new friend Autumn. Thanks for sending us so high in the air over and over again! Best thing ever for most of us. I loved bouncing off my tail and jumping down to something springy. Flicker spotted some snags nearby from the heights. Loony kept laughing the whole time. Wol the Owl got sick and won’t be visiting any more trampolines in the future. Sorry, Wol!
Have cart? We’ll push it! This one’s outside a cheese maker in Tillamook. We were pretty sure these flowers were headed for the new garden being landscaped nearby. It’s pretty smart to plant all the flowers in the cart and then just move the cart. Thought we’d pass that idea onto the gardeners we know back in MN.
Hang on! What’s this bird doing on the ground? How did it get trapped here? We tried to free it, but it was pretty well stuck. And people were stepping on it as they passed by. How rude! We guarded it for a little while but then we got bored and decided to move onto other interesting things nearby.
We found Yeti, Jicama, and friends on a tractor around the corner. Yeti was trying to find a vehicle that worked so she could drive it off into the sunset (more on that from her, later, we’re sure.) When we climbed/flew to the top, we could see another bird nearby. How big do these herons get on the Oregon coast, anyway? We’ve never seen one so tall… nor so shiny! It kind of hurt our eyes…
And then there were goats! We learned that some people milk goats and use it to make cheese. We’ve never tried it before. Maybe it’s good? We’ll keep an eye out. In the meantime, we found these goats pretty interesting- NOT! They just sat there and sat there. If they ever got up to eat or get petted, it wasn’t on our watch. We took off to find more interesting things nearby. We’ll let Yeti take it from here.
