Play Dates Are Awesome!
Oh, my, did we have fun at Buckwheat’s house! First of all, I have to say, they know how to show guests a good time. And how to get straight to this bear’s heart. I asked where they kept the gold. Guess what they did? Gave me some gold! Now that’s what I”m talking about. Katie, are you taking notes on this?
Of course, they were too polite to just give me a treasure. (Though I did campaign for exactly that to happen.) There were all these beautiful stones outside, and everyone who wanted to take one home got their wish. Zeborah was overwhelmed by the choices and gave up. But Jicama picked out a gem!
This was also the beginning of Snitch & Twitch’s fabulous afternoon. They sure do know how to hang out together! Some of the friends really wanted to move into this small house built just for us in the backyard. Froggy & I thought it was a little tight.
While Jicama was busy looking at the beautiful tiles, we heard a shout from the rooftop. Snitch and Twitch were dancing along the roof top, which was hilarious. Then they decided to try out their acrobatic tricks from the edge. Not so good!
Lucky that window was there to catch her! Our next discovery was this surprise pumpkin. Some birds are careless eaters, we guess. This beautiful squash volunteered to grow by the gravel driveway. Doesn’t seem too bothered by the lack of soil or vine.
Oh, this is where the volunteer pumpkin came from. Teena said she didn’t plant any of these- the birds did all the work for her. That’s what I call good planning. (Where can I get some local birds?)
Jicama wanted to check out this hedge because it smelled so good. She was hoping for some mushrooms growing underneath it. None yet, but we can check back later! You’ll see our tiniest new friend the Bear in this photo. So fun to balance on friends that are hanging precariously off a branch! (or not)
Jicama found one of the world’s most amazing flowers. She couldn’t stop going on and on and on about how fragrant and colorful it was. Glad she enjoyed it!
All that outdoor excitement made us hot. So we wandered inside to check out the just-for-stuffies-indoor-small-house. It was cool, but this chair was where it was at. A chair just for Froggy? A basket just for Zeborah? A flower for Jicama? Gold just for me? We give Buckwheat and Friends a 10 star review!
If you want to see more of the fun we had, check out the video. You’ll witness more of Snitch & Twitch’s antics, that’s for sure. And, see, I’m not the only Stuffie who gets into hot water! We can’t wait to go back to Siletz for more excitement soon.
