Parties All the Time
Greetings, Fellow Stuffies and Friends!
We’ve been keeping you updated on all of our travels this summer, but we saved the best for last. We got to go to SO many parties. Birthdays, end-of-project celebrations, parties we threw for ourselves. You name it. If there were fantastic treats, we were there.
One of the events was a 50th birthday at the Blondos. We were first in line for the food. They are famous for having plenty of delicious food! And this party did not disappoint. We found this super layout with all kinds of choices.
We liked Beth’s famous potato salad the best. Of course, Scottie and Flambe dug into the watermelon and said it was quite tasty. Apparently there were hamburgers and brats but we choose not to eat meat for obvious reasons (fellow animals of the world, unite). Next, we “discovered’ not one but THREE trays full of chocolate cupcakes. No one even missed the 1/2 dozen we munched down while everyone was outside…
We will definitely put the Blondo’s on our must stop list for the future! Speaking of “must stops”, we needed to attend an 18th birthday party in Ireland. One of the best parts was his special dinner of nachos with everything on them - meat/beans, cheese, tomatoes, salsa, sour cream, avocado, lettuce, all on top of corn tortillas! Don’t worry, Taco & Fajita- we ate extras in your honor.
Then of course we had cake and ice cream… Mmmmmm. So tasty.
And another birthday highlight was meeting our new friend. Look how cute they are! We asked for some rides. They politely declined.
Of course, it can’t be parties all the time. The next day we were put to work taking down the poly tunnel in the back garden.
We worked really hard to get all of those parts down. Okay, why would we do the work if we can just tell others what to do? Maybe our supervision wasn’t appreciated - they had promised us snacks, but this is what they left us…
That’s okay, we know where to find the goodies. It was so easy to get our due payment. Can you believe they have such valuable stash not locked up? Maybe next job we supervise they will be up front in the terms and conditions!
The test came sooner than we expected. One day, we were having afternoon tea with biscuits (aka cookies) and heard them talking about a photo wall in the dining area. We immediately realized the job needed some serious supervision.
We were in charge of spacing and placement. We needed to keep Dan on track. “A little to the left. No, down a bit. It’s a little crooked… Almost. No, tilt it up to the right. Watch the spacing…. Perfect!”
As you see the wall turned out great. Everyone was impressed! If you’d like to hire us out for one of your projects, just let us know!
Even better, this time they rewarded us with an end-of-projects celebratory dinner. Yes, please!
Especially when it comes with desserts like this…
Call us for your celebrations anytime. We’ll be there in a heartbeat!
-Scottie , Flambé, Gràineag, Penne, and Amelia Airheart
