Lost... and Thankfully, Found
Hey, Friends! So, I may be smiling here, but a little before this, I was really upset. You see, I was left behind in the backyard. In the dark! By myself! With all the squirrels & birds and what-not! No, not Scottie & friends- the wild, living on the streets kind. Thank goodness it turns out they were really friendly. They didn’t want to share any of their food, so I was pretty hungry. And lonely. And wet. Did I mention that it was raining? And all of that happened because Fajita failed to find me during our game of Hide & Seek. I can’t wait to catch up with them. I have some things I want to say and questions that need to be answered.
In the meantime, these great friends invited me inside, made me my own taco bib, and fed me my favorite food. Yummy!
During dinner, I heard them talking about going to see a One Act performance that night. Amelia (the human, not the bird) was in a show. So I hid myself in the car and hoped they would discover me and bring me to the show. Thankfully, it worked. Check this out! This auditorium is huge.
I flew up onstage and checked out the set. The minute I landed onstage under the lights, I knew I’d found my calling. This is the life for me! The drama, the intrigue, the costumes- where do I sign up?
I asked if there was a part in the show for a very brave and friendly dragon. They said to perform you have to learn a bunch of lines and blocking and cues and other things. Not sure what they’re talking about, but I know I am bound to be a star. If not this show, then the next one. I’ve decided I won’t stop until I get my own dressing room.
I spent the whole performance backstage hanging out with the actors and the crew. I might have made a few unofficial appearances. Let’s just say that people were clamoring for my autograph when the show was over. This program will be worth lots of money some day. (Maybe don’t tell Yeti that.)
I was so helpful and well-behaved during the show, they broke out some leftover tacos just for me.
And this time, they left the hot sauce on the table while they were cleaning things up. I have the perfect place to put this away. Gotta go!
