Hanging Around with Snitch and Twitch
HELLO!!!! It has been too long since we’ve shared our news, yes it has. But, better late than never! And, wowza have we been having fun. As the saying goes, “while the cat’s away, the mice will play.” Except Kitty lives here all the time and we’re not mice. Or mouses. Whichever.
We’ve been checking the house for anything we can hang from. To tell the whole truth, we’re looking for a new venue for an acrobatic routine. Our flips and turns and spins and flights are fantastic. And we don’t want to keep them to ourselves. We’d like to share them with the world!
Including our new friends we just found in the other room- Piggie and Gerald. They didn’t have a lot to say. That’s okay- some friends are quieter than others, yes they are. That gives the talkers of the world room to talk. We brought them around and had a great time. They liked how friendly and patient we are.
After we hung out with them, we got back to swinging around. We wanted to find a higher launching point. This curtain rod is going to be amazing. The loops could come in handy. Or we could pull back the curtain (like the wizard in that one book) and swing really far out. This could be a great opportunity in our future. We’ll have to come back to the closet.
Well, this next thing won’t really be part of our acrobatics, but it was truly, truly fun to play with. We can’t believe we’ve never discovered it before. That’s the beauty of exploring, isn’t it? You find new adventures and learn new things. If you never do anything differently, you don’t get to swing back and forth and make these little metal balls crash into each other. So, that was worthwhile.
We learned you want to be careful where your body parts are. Outside of balls= good. In between= ouchie.
Speaking of learning, we found some good books in this house. They’re from a place called the “library”. We can’t wait to go there. We heard it’s a place to be quiet, so that will be hard for us. We do like to talk. And we know there’s a children’s room. Children are good at making noise and making friends. Maybe we’ll just go there and have a fantastic time. In the meantime, we got ourselves some light so we could read. Do you know about a curious monkey called “George”? He sure gave us some good ideas!
All of this learning and adventuring and exercising made us hungry. Luckily, we know where the snacks are and how to open the fridge because we once helped our friend Yeti out.
Mmmm. Those snacks were tasty. We especially liked the carrots because they are crunchy and sort of explode into little pieces everywhere when you chew them. We decided to head outside to eat them. And, who knows? Maybe there are more friends to make out there? We’ve seen some birds and squirrels and chickens nearby. See you later!
