An Unauthorized House Party
Yes, everyone, it’s Yeti!
Are you surprised to know that I’ve come up with yet another cunning and wonderful plan? If so, we don’t know each other very well yet…
We were at a wonderful Easter holiday recently & happened to overhear a conversation about the Kellys’ trip to Ireland. (We didn’t need to go with them- been there, done that.) However, as a clever & observant bear might notice, that meant their house would be empty. Now we’re talking!
What?! Everyone’s gotta eat! (By the way, those treats were delicious.) After we demolished the cookies, we were pretty thirsty. No problem! Thanks to my years of study, I knew we had several fridge-opening experts on our team. We found lots of tasty beverages inside.
(No, you probably don’t want to know what happened after Flicker, Amelia, and Ferdinand drank a bunch of Cokes. Are you familiar with Hitchcock’s The Birds? That’s basically what you missed.)
Every party needs some entertainment. We spread out to see what the options were. Books? No thanks. Cleaning supplies? Definitely not. A stereo? Maybe. Then Scottie found a piano in the basement.
We had a grand time. Our piano music sounded so terrific we thought about making an album. That is, until Scottie tried to sing. That squirrel has many talents. Singing could be one of them if he could get some lessons. We quickly switched gears and headed for the TV.
Our favorite show was on. We love watching the pinkish purple skyline scroll by with all of the creatures and buildings and boats. A few hours (and a lot of popcorn) later, we decided to find another movie to watch.
That was one fantastic movie. I learned a lot about gold mines and robbery and hiding stolen money. Notes were taken. Plans will be made. Speaking of plans, we decided to liberate some goods on our way out. We have to look out for friends, right?
Oops. Guess the house wasn’t completely empty after all. Mayo made it impossible to leave unnoticed. We think we’re in the clear, unless the Kellys learn to speak “dog” while overseas. Catch you later!
