"Safety Check?"

Greetings, friends! It’s Taco here with some news from YMCA Camp Shady Brook in Colorado! You might remember that we visit camp every year to see our friend Deckers. This year, we told the staff not to worry. We would check everything to make sure it was safe for all the campers coming this year. We thought we’d start with the most important thing.

Well, they get a “fail” for that one. We could not get the ice cream freezer open no matter how hard we tried. It is not okay to put delicious frozen treats in the middle of the dining hall in plain sight and then not let us eat them. The campers will not be happy.

This, on the other hand, is a terrific idea. Dance party commencing…

All that dancing made us hungry. We headed to the kitchen to make sure this camp has the most important ingredients.

Looks like they’re on the right track with menu planning. Any camp that has chips & salsa in these quantities is okay with us. And, as I’ve learned the hard way, when they’re serving tacos to dragons, you have to be sure they’re ready for the consequences.

Yep. Fire equipment in working order. It was lucky we went out the back door of the dining hall. What a lucky discovery!

Is it in proper working order? We’ll find out!

Note to camp directors- maybe don’t leave the keys in the ignition? We tried our best to rescue it. Sorry, camp!

We know this camp has lots of awesome adventures available. We decided to go hang gliding in the pavilion….

And base jumping in the dance hall…

Then we played some extreme foosball…

And then we went to ring the camp bell to give everyone a report about what we’d learned.

Yep. It works. Boy, did they come running! That’s when we found out that the bell mostly gets used in emergencies. Oops.

We’ll call this an emergency of cuteness. All stuffies interested in camp can send us mail. We’d love to hear from you!
