Our Skydiving Adventure
Roxy’s Side of the Story:
Well, it all started during quarantine when Queenie felt the need to start dropping things on me. I said, “If you like dropping things so much, maybe you should just try dropping yourself from the sky.” And Queenie really liked that idea, so we took a road trip (aka hitching a ride on Oscar the owl) to Monument Valley. Queenie decided to learn how to skydive by watching YouTube instead of taking a class. She also decided to make her own parachute.
When we got there, we scouted the perfect spot which was right over a river. Then we got Queenie hitched up to her harness and she lowered herself so she was hanging onto Oscar’s wings and then we dropped her. After she let go, she opened her parachute. It looked like a lot of fun, but I would get too scared and puncture my parachute with my quills.
Queenie’s Side of the Story:
First of all, I would like to give a shout-out to Oscar for lending us his wings. Skydiving was just so much fun!!!!!!!!!!! The water was really cold, though. BTW, don’t use YouTube for skydiving lessons. It’s a bit confusing. I got tangled in my parachute. It was kind of scary to drop down from in the air. We were like so high up! We were like in the stratosphere! I would definitely recommend skydiving. Just make sure it’s in Hawaii because the water is like so warm. We also made a friend- a gecko named Lizzy. She was like really nice. I got to try gourmet grasshopper at her restaurant, Grasshopper Canyon. It was like so delicious!!!!!!
