Froggy Finds a New Hobby
I was SO excited to sneak into the car with Yeti and see her house on the Oregon Coast. She bragged about how much water there was for catching flies and other delicious snacks. And, sure, there’s a wetland at the bottom of the forest, a creek around the corner, a pond at the bottom of the hill, a huge ocean, and even a river nearby! But so far, all she wants to do is play hide & seek in the forest and hang out at home.
I’ve taken matters into my own (webbed) feet. I mention the feet part, because it makes my projects a little harder. I’ve been working on some boat designs so I can sail out on the pond. Katie took me down on an initial expedition, but her boat was really tippy. (You’ll see a video of it soon). It would have been a complete loss, except for 2 things.
Ate some super delicious grasshoppers while I was there. And I caught a gnat for dessert. No flies just yet… Boo.
I found a new hobby. Turns out that this frog LOVES climbing trees! So, those tall green and brown things are good for something after all. My distant cousins the tree frogs always said so, but I thought that was just showing off at our family reunions. They were right. Sorry, cousins!
As you’ll see, there was a down side. It’s pretty hard to get fruit off a tree when you’re upside down. Totally worth the effort, though. That thing was not only juicy, but also I left the apple core outside. Lots of bugs crawling on it when I got back to it. They never saw me coming…
Till next time, Froggy
