Discoveries in Scotland
Greetings, Stuffie Fans! It’s Scottie, reporting from our travels in the UK. Amelia Airheart, Ferdinand and I are having a grand time this side of the “pond”. We were wandering on the Isle of Skye and my sharp eyes helped me find a lonely hedgehog stuffie in the garden. Gràineag (little Hedgie) was very interested in showing us around Scotland. First, we went down to the water.
It was a pretty calm day, but only Amelia was interested in jumping into the sea. She said it was about the same temperature as Lake Superior in the Fall and found it very refreshing. The rest of us watched the sheep in the pasture and wished we had some wooly warm layers to keep us cozy.
Next, Hedgie took us to a local castle. There are so, so many castles in this part of the world. This one was pretty interesting. Lots of nooks and crannies to explore. We liked learning that the people living here were named “Donald”- we know a few of those. (Shout out to all the “Donalds” out there!)
(What do you think those people were doing at the castle? Standing around until they could be photographed? Learning about the weather? Watching some sheep that aren’t in the picture? We’re not sure.) We traveled to the other side of the grounds and found this turret.
I decided that the sign couldn’t possibly apply to yours truly. How risky could it be for a few small furry and feathery friends? Hedgie was on board & we had a grand old time. Then the sky cleared and they said we had to go check out the view. You can see why…
After that, we made our way down to the train and headed off to Wales. I’m sure we’ll have many things to tell you about that next time! So long for now!

As you can see there is lots to do. I’m going to miss this when I go with Scottie and friends back to minnesota.
