Deckers Gets a Naming Party Beyond Belief!

Hey, all you Stuffie Fans!

Remember me? I’m your new friend Deckers who lives at YMCA Camp Shady Brook in Colorado? Well, guess what? It’s SO exciting I can hardly believe it! I mean, you’ll probably not believe it either, but that’s okay! Wonderful, magical things happen at camp all the time. And today was a pretty fantastic, fabulous, splendiforous, amazing day! So many friends to play with… You’ll have trouble keeping track of them all at first. But I believe in you!

Many of you that have been to Camp Shady Brook before know how cute & cuddly these friends are in real life. What you may not know is that we get to help with training & and getting camp ready this year! We’ll be out and about in activity areas, cabin areas, campout areas. We’ve got to check out all the action and be sure that everything is in tip-top shape. And, boy oh boy oh boy, are these camp staff fun! They’ve been so kind to us already. In fact, they heard us talking about how it only feels like a party if there are balloons and treats. And do you know what? Yes, you guessed it- they brought us balloons and treats! HOORAY!

Benji the Squirrel and Jenni the Deer had fun stacking lots of packages of Oreos before enjoying their treats. Don’t worry- they only opened one package and shared the cookies inside. How Caring!

Roxie the Fox and Foxy the Raccoon got some help from a staff member so they could dig into this apple. We’re pretty sure Foxy would have worked it out- raccoons have amazing paws.

Carol the Eagle (who you’ll be seeing a lot of at the waterfront), S’more the Horse (the barn), and Fred the Moose (?) enjoying the brownies before Little Guy 2 ate them all. We hope his time at camp will help him learn some Caring and Respect. Better make sure he goes to Morning Message tomorrow!

That’s it for now- it’s time to head to Dinner. Well, you know the party had some delicious snacks, but they really just made us realize how hungry we were. Talk to you soon!
